6/17/11 - The Verge Building, LLC and PlusOne Communications celebrated their second anniversary with a building-wide picnic with gift basket raffles and delicious food catered by Zack's Fire and Ice.

Architectural Heritage Award
9/20/10 - Jill Bacon Madden and Verge Building LLC received the 2010 Architectural Heritage Award for "Outstanding Renewal of Mid-Century Modern Architecture" from the Summit County Historical Society and Progress Through Preservation for the renovation and rebirth of the Verge Building - formerly known as the Firestone Bank Building - in lower downtown Akron.
The award focuses on restoration efforts of properties, buildings, and landscapes from the second half of the twentieth century. It is designed to promote education and awareness of materials, design techniques, and planning principals of the Modern movement and cultural resources of the past fifty years. Projects in this category were judged on careful attention to design, craftsmanship, architecture, and materials used. The impact of the project on the surrounding community was also considered.
